Tantalizing Tuesday
Jul. 2nd, 2024 11:05 pmStarted working on the SilverV week prompts. I created a "mixtape" for them. I kinda work better when I have a song to bounce off of. Like there are prompts listed but I picked a song that would match the prompt. I already started writing it, I want to finish writing it this week. I'm also pretty psyched for this week's prompt for the group I'm in, it's a spicy song. ͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ – ✧ Kinda want to write about Johnny's & Kerry's party days. That crazy rockstar life. I could incorporate it into the other fic I'm writing. We'll see. But yeah, lots of fun writing projects. ໒(⊙ᴗ⊙)७✎▤
I'm almost done reading Sabriel, really loving this book. I can see why it comes so highly recommended. I really enjoy how they portray necromancers here and their practices. It's so interesting and makes it feel so immersive. I enjoy those little details. After I finish Sabriel, I'll be moving onto Holly Black's latest book. I love the way she writes the fey, I'm looking forward to stepping back into that world. Speaking of fey related stuff, I re-watched Labyrinth (w/ David Bowie) for the hundredth time. ♡´･ᴗ･`♡ Such a comfort film. I miss those 80s dark fantasy films, they were such a vibe.
I also recently completed an illustration in which I leaned may more into line work (kinda like Emma Rios) and I really loved how that turned out. The process went a lot smoother. I always found line work easier than rendering. I struggle with rendering, lmao. ┌( ಠ_ಠ )┘ I want to do more pieces like that just because it felt way more smoother. I'll still be experimental, I don't know how not to be experimental when it comes to art. But yeah, I look forward to sharing that piece with you all.
