Ack it's been forever since I last posted! (More like a month but still. TAT) These past few weeks have been absolutely hectic & it won't slow down until the end of May. There's so much to do, I can't wait for things to slow a bit so I can relax & catch my breath. _(┐「ε:)_ But I am looking forward to seeing Green Day & Alice in Chains later this month. It's gonna be so hype! >////<

Aside from that, these past few weeks I've checked out a few local performances, enrolled in an online class for work, read several books, played Love & Deepspace (I got the Xavier myth memories, score!) & watched the old school Rose of Versailles anime. I read the first two books in the Nightrunner series, Alec is a precious bean & Seregil is such a cool cat, I love those two. I finished Dark Heir by C.S. Pacat, ughhh I can't wait for the next installment, it's soo good!!! And I recently completed Every Heart a Doorway, thank you mistressofmuses, this was such a delightful read! I'm on hold for the next few books & I'm looking forward as to what comes next. ʕ♡˙ᴥ˙♡ʔ

As for personal art stuff, I'm working on another Sylus piece, I wanted to complete it before his birthday in April but that obviously did not happen. The background took me a bit & his motorcycle is gonna give me hell. I just know it! But thus far I like it, it was a learning process. I'm also writing an outline for an original story, this one has been stewing for a few years but I finally pieced everything together. Or the main components at least. I also wrote two chapters for one of the ongoing fanfics. Whoot! ᕦʕ •`ᴥ•´ʔᕤ Slowly completing that fic, whoot! And I got back into cpop again, lol. It's been fun listening to all the new stuff.

So last summer I got sucked into Love & Deepspace. And I've been meaning to draw one of the boys & I finally did. Here's Sylus~ He's so cool, a total badass, & so swoon worthy. ( ˘ ³˘)♥ (I also really like Xavier, he's such a cutie.) So for this piece I referenced a screenshot of his, I have so many of him. I really like the lighting here. I'm proud of how that turned out. ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ When I was working on this I was still experimenting with brushes & rendering. His hair was so tricky to capture, lol. But I did my best & I don't think it turned out half bad.

I do have a pic saved of him on his bike & I really want to draw that. I'm a sucker for leather despite the headache it gives me, lol. Practice makes perfect. I also want to do one of Xavier/Lumiere with a sword, he looks so ethereal. So much I want to draw & so little time! @ _ @

Alright, time for updates! Sorta, lol. ʕ ● ᴥ ●ʔ Towards the end of February, I celebrated melodicmessage's birthday. It was a lot of fun & I'm glad I was able to make it. Her birthday bash had two themes, Squid Games & The Traitors, I was dressed for the latter despite having no idea as to what that entailed lol. ╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭ I got to see both familiar & unfamiliar faces, which was pretty nice. We played games that were tied to these shows & it was a lot fun. I'm surprised I made it as far as I did for either of them. Overall, I had a great time with everyone.

The weekend after, I attended a performance for one of the local bands. I had a good time for the most part but the crowd was a bit off. There was an argument breaking out behind me & later in the 4th set a very intoxicated group of individuals nearly knocked me to the ground & almost hit me in the face with their Stanley cup. I moved eventually just to get away from them but yeah not cool. That's just rock shows I guess, but I would like to vibe to the music without sustaining injuries. (⌐▀͡ ̯ʖ▀) Hopefully it's not like that for the next show. Anyways, the band showcased one of their new singles & I freaking loved it. It had a very grunge sound & I was here for it! I love grunge! <3

I finally finished that last chapter for the SilverV weekend, my second completed work! ᕦʕ •`ᴥ•´ʔᕤ Now I'm just catching up on other entries, I'm almost finished with another one, hopefully I can wrap that up this weekend. I also made a few illustrations, I'm trying to improve on my rendering. I'm slowly getting there. I think. I finished reading Heaven Official's Blessings volume five & started volume 6. I'll probably tear through that very quickly. I'm also reading Luck in the Shadows & have been enjoying that as well.

Today was rather low-key, got to enjoy sleeping in & took a nice afternoon nap. It feels nice to catch up on some much needed sleep. So bummed I don't get tomorrow off, was hoping to meet up with the fencing club & get some fencing in. But alas, that's not the case. (T⌓T)

Last weekend was pretty fun, I attended a local con & dressed up as Wicked/Black Lady from Sailor Moon. I went with family & friends. Although I did enjoy going, I do miss going to small cons, the vibes at the smaller cons are more intimate. Big cons just feel very corporate, I didn't spend that much time in dealer's hall. Mostly hung out in Artist Alley & attended a vtuber panel. It was also incredibly crammed, which I anticipated because it was a Saturday. I was also really hoping to find Love & Deepspace merch or cosplayers. I found neither.（ｉДｉ）I was rather surprised, I thought I'd find it since it's pretty popular. Or popular in a certain space, I suppose. I was also hoping to do some dancing at an AMV dance party but when I showed up people were just sitting on the dance floor? The music was pretty decent, so I was briefly let down again. I did get to do some karaoke that evening, which was fun & some folks really turned it up & got into character. Also witnessed some hysterical shenanigans with the crew, we'll never forget it. After the con, we ate out & talked. Overall, it was a good day. I do need to look for more small cons to attend, I really miss going.

Valentine's day was pretty nice, a few folks gifted me flowers & chocolate. That was pretty sweet, I wasn't expecting much lol. ʕ♡˙ᴥ˙♡ʔ I also got to play some Love & Deepspace, the event was pretty fun, I feel like they could've pushed the edge more but it was fine. I'll just have to write it myself. ໒(⊙ᴗ⊙)७✎▤ Speaking of writing, I'm almost done with that SilverV chapter. I feel it this time. I may have written more than anticipated but I hope to be done soon. And then I can finally catch up. I also want to write some Love & Deepspace fics. I only have vague ideas for two, so I need to make some outlines & jot things down before I press the big red button. I also started drawing again, it felt nice to draw for a change.

Whoot! I was able to complete the chapter I was working on over break. (✪㉨✪) I was also able to edit & post it! And I completed a chapter for an upcoming SilverV event. I just need to write one more & hopefully I can make the deadline on that one. I also need to write my weekly submission. Hopefully I can complete it this week. @ _ @ I already have an idea for it so that should make it easier to write. "Should" being the operating word. I got to try writing on ellipsus, I like it, I kinda wanted a back up for google docs & chose that. It's still in beta & I look forward to what features they'll add.

Break is over & I'm back at work. (T⌓T) That transition is always rough. I'm definitely a night owl kind of gal & waking up hella early is pain. But I eventually got into the swing of it. Work was super hectic, changing rooms, IT issues, new faces, & the frog that hopped into my room was the icing on top, lol. As the week went by, most of the stuff got resolved. (The frog was captured & returned outside safely). I'm glad the weekend is here, but it comes & goes so quickly. >⌓<｡

Currently fighting off the beginning of a cold while simultaneously dealing with allergies. Apparently it's the dryness causing my allergies to act up. I usually catch a break from those in the winter, but it's been rather cold here as of late & my nose decided to protest. Curses! (ノ-_-)ノ ミ ┴┴ It is what is is, should be warming up a bit during the week.

I'm debating on what cosplay to wear for next month. I'm leaning more for Chibi Usa as Wicked Lady. (Since it's mostly done, I might include some new additions). I wanted to do a few new cosplays like Rogue, Rover, or the Love & Deepspace MC but I don't have a huge window to get all that done. Perhaps on another occasion, like a smaller con. Just gotta keep an eye out & save up.

I hope y'all had a good one! This new year's eve I spent it doing archery & ended the night with a local performance. Archery was pretty cool, I really enjoyed it. Definitely took some time finding a comfortable "anchor" spot & I also had to switch to another bow, but I found a groove towards the end. Just need to practice more & get some beginner friendly archery equipment. The range does lend out its equipment but only at specific times which don't work with my current schedule. The volunteers there were super helpful & welcoming. I learned a lot! Then that evening, I went to a local performance & chatted to the singer/guitarist of the band. It was nice to briefly chat with him. (He wore a sick battle vest with some classic horror movie patches <3 ). They totally killed it last night! （☝ ՞ਊ ՞）☝ The band & the crowd were pretty high-energy. And I was able to meet with some really good friends there! (By the time she arrived I was able to snag some spots up front, lol) Overall, it was a great night! I had a blast! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

Now to rewind a bit, lol. Last week, I stayed with my parents & while I was there I met up with a friend. He upgraded my Steamdeck & while we were waiting for things to load I accompanied him for some last minute Christmas shopping. The outlet mall we went to was packed, parking was a mess but I gave him some tips since I was familiar with the area & those tips still held true. But it definitely brought back crazy holiday memories from wayyy back lol. ૮ ⚆ﻌ⚆ა He also helped me with some last minute shopping as well. We had fun despite the holiday madness! Noche Buena was pretty chill this year, usually we'd be at my grandparents but my grandfather wasn't feeling well that day. Christmas day he was feeling better and we were able to spend time together that day. My aunt, uncle, & cousins also swung by. It was a pretty tranquil gathering. d(･∀･○)

I was also able to watch Sonic 3, (I binged watched the other 2 the day before lol). OMG Shadow was wonderful! He's one of my faves! Keanu's voice fit his edgelord vibes. <333 I was pretty content with the film. ♡´･ᴗ･`♡ Then I returned to my place, tidied up & did chores. Went to fencing class the following day, I've got a lot to practice but once again the folks are so kind & informative, I don't feel discouraged. We had a nice dinner that night. And the following day was archery, so now we're back full circle lol. Yay!

I have been working on my fic, I'm almost done with the chapter! Whoot! Hopefully I can finish either tonight or tomorrow. And the community I was part of is doing bi-weekly events. So I'd like to get started on that & participate! It's so much fun to read what other people wrote using the same prompt. I've also been drawing quite a bit this winter break. I completed a few digital pieces & some traditional ones. Using those POSCA markers have been a treat! ´･ᴗ･` I've also been playing quite a bit of Love & Deepspace, omg their anniversary banner is soo swoonworthy! (｡♥‿♥｡)

I'm on break! Haza! ♡´･ᴗ･`♡ Freedom to be even more artsy! Since I wasn't traveling far for break, I decided to take advantage & try to do some things that I usually can't do. One of them was fencing! Omg, I loved it! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ It was so much fun & the people there were really nice & welcoming. I learned a lot, there was definitely lots of information overload moments. But there are two weapon/styles I want to learn, Foil & Sabre. Those looked really cool. They gave me some homework, practice footwork, which yeah I definitely need to work on that because it's not how I would intuitively move. (Kinda different from some of the martial arts I learned, but there are overlaps that I can tap into.) The only drawback is that I can only attend the club meetings when I'm on break since I work during the week. (And the gear can get rather pricey, but they said they would hook me up with second hand stuff). So I'm glad I was able to try that! I also signed up for archery lessons but that won't be until next month. But I'm also looking forward to that. （☝ ՞ਊ ՞）☝

Aside from getting into fencing & signing up for archery, I've been working on one of my fics & drawing. Definitely feels like my art style (volatile it may be) is going through a change. Kinda curious as to where that journey will take me. But I'm liking the direction thus far, feels closer to my traditional stuff. Speaking of traditional, I was gifted POSCA markers. /ᐠ｡ꞈ｡ᐟ\ So I'm really excited to try those out. I just hope the paper holds the ink/ paint well. I'm also almost done with a journal/sketchbook so that's really exciting (to me at least, lol.) ᕕ (ᐛ) ᕗ I'm looking forward to drawing/writing in a new sketchbook.

As for writing, I feel like I may have to break the current chapter. What a surprise lol. I've got a few ideas that will add drama! Which will be fun to write, fersure. I also decided to participate in a community creative holiday gift exchange. I've never done one of those but always wanted to try. So haza! Now's my chance! ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ In terms of reading, I read Magic's Pawn by Mercedes Lackey. I loved it but it was also rather depressing, I still want to read the next two installments. I just hope things improve for the protagonist, he's such a cool dude but also a tortured soul. (˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )

I saw a few performances/ concerts this month. It was fun seeing Smash Mouth again & I got to catch a few local gigs. The weather has been extremely nice as of late. I got word from a friend that I may be able to see Alice in Chains live next year. I'm sooooo hyped for that! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ So we've been coordinating that together. Just gotta save up for it, lol. I've also been jamming out to Type O Negative a lot as of late, something about the weather & the season just feels right.

This past week was rather busy! Work has kept me rather occupied but I'm glad I had enough time to finish my SilverV fic! Whoot! It's finally complete! ⸂⸂⸜(രᴗര๑)⸝⸃⸃ Now I can return to writing the other two fics & get those up to date. It's nice to finally return to those with a fresh mind. Also spent some time re-reading the previous chapters so I can capture the vibe again. I definitely remember what I was going for there, I just think this chapter might be a long one. Again. ໒(⊙ᴗ⊙)७✎▤ Oh well, lol.

October came & went too quickly! (T⌓T) It's one of my favorite months & it's gone too soon. I always try to savor it & do things to appreciate the season. Although that's kinda hard to do when it's sweltering hot or storming outside. I did get to see a few performances when I was out & enjoy the scenery. I also did get to dress more goth when the weather wasn't awful. Wish I could've done more Halloween day but since it was on a weekday & I have to wake up early the next day, I spent it rather low-key. Mostly read vampire books, played video games & wrote. Thankfully the weekend prior, I celebrated early. Saw a pet costume competition, it was very cute. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ Dressed up as Snow White, walked around the square which was set up like a mini carnival, they had skeet ball, haunted houses, elephant ear, etc. I also checked out a performance that night from the band I liked, it was super packed. Overall, it was fun! I think next Halloween will fall on a Friday & I can definitely do more day of. ᕕ(⌐■_■)ᕗ ♪♬

Drawing has been a bit slow, I want to try and draw more in the coming weeks. Right now, I'm working on remaking my Twitch overlays & giving them a more updated look. While also experimenting on coloring & line work. Found a tutorial I want to try & see if I like how it looks on my art. (๑✪ᆺ✪๑) I think I might want to stream tonight, depends on how I feel after chores & doing some work. I did stream a few weeks ago & it was really nice to reconnect with all the peeps. They're all so sweet! So I definitely want to try & pull that off.

Wow, these days have been super busy and hectic! ∑(ΦдΦlll Been trying to catch up with work but new things keep getting added on. I think I'm getting there though. I'm hoping I can get mostly caught up this weekend. As a result of an approaching storm, I'll be able to work from home and just buckle down on some tasks without interruptions. Progress! ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ I'm getting adjusted to the new position, just gotta make a few tweaks as I go along. That'll come with time. This week was pretty fun at work, we got to dress up. It's been too long since I've done anything related to cosplay so I really enjoyed it. I got to dress up as Gwen Stacy (Spider-Gwen or Ghost Spider), the reactions from that were pretty funny. People really liked it. The following day I dressed up as Princess Peach but in an alternative outfit (something similar to what Mario wears) and the folks liked it as well. And today's outfit was met positively as well, despite not dressing up as a character today. It was also pretty cool to see what other people dressed as. Folks dressed as the Powerpuff Girls, Cosmo & Wanda, princesses, superheroes, etc. (´∩｡• ᵕ •｡∩`) ♡

In between all the hecticness, I got to check out a few shows. One of them was a 1950s cover band, they were pretty good and it was a fun performance. Did some swimming when the weather was nice, lots of afternoon showers/ thunderstorms here. In my down time, I've mostly been reading. I started Green Rider by Kristen Britain, I've been enjoying that. It's a fun fantasy read. I also picked up some used volumes from Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. Although, they're also gonna be DIY projects, one of the covers is torn so I'm gonna try to fix that by making a new cover. ( ༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ ) I just gotta get some decorative paper, washi tape, stickers, gold marker, and lamination sheets. I think I can make something nice. ´･ᴗ･`

I'm hoping I can draw and write this weekend, work has put all my creative pursuits on pause and I need to release that creativity. ໒(⊙ᴗ⊙)७✎▤ I wanna finish that Nona piece and finish writing the chapter I was working on for SilverV week. I'm so close to being done with that. So close! (ಥ ͜ʖಥ) I also want to complete the event for Love & Deep Space. Really been enjoying that game. It's so gorgeous.

Things are still in boxes but that's mostly because I don't have anyplace to put them, lol. Once, I get furniture perhaps. Still figuring out where I want things placed and what makes sense to me. Almost done with SilverV week, I'm wrapping up the second-to-last prompt. Hopefully I can edit and post it this week. Then I can write the final prompt and voila, I would have completed my first work. Whoot! And after that, I play catch-up on the weekly group prompts I was a part of. I think I have about ten prompts to catch up on. (ಥ ͜ʖಥ) I can do it! lol. Eventually. I also gotta return to my other sequential work. So much to write lol. ໒(⊙ᴗ⊙)७✎▤

Finished the Rogue piece! I made a background I was kinda content with. I ended up scrapping the AiC boys head shot piece. I wasn't content with it after tweaking it a few times. I'll revisit it again, I definitely want to draw them. Their music helped me write so much. I drew another Kerry portrait, I'm actually pretty content with how this turned out. I was experimenting with a few brushes and kinda liked how that turned out. I think my art style is changing/evolving again so we'll see where it goes. ┐(´•_•`)┌

In the mix of work and packing/unpacking, I went out several times. (~‾⌣‾)~ Checked out a local farmer's market, picked up some honey and tried shaved ice flavored "Tiger's Blood". Kinda tasted like strawberry and vanilla. It was delicious and very much needed under the blazing sun. Saw an 80s cover band. Ate at a Scottish pub, the decor was superb and the curry was great (was craving curry, so it hit the spot). ʕ♡˙ᴥ˙♡ʔ Went to another theme park, it was surprisingly not as packed as we expected so that was rather nice. Saw an acquaintance's performance. Got sick with Covid but recovered pretty quickly. (T⌓T) And started playing Love and Deep Space. Omg, I love Rafayel & Sylus! Xavier is also cute. (๑♡3♡๑) This game is sooooo pretty. And their photo mode is great for drawing references, definitely taking advantage of that, lol.

Been jamming to some of the new Magdalena Bay stuff, ugh sooo good! Find myself dancing and singing along. <3 Also excited that Jerry will be dropping another song this Thursday. What a treat!
